It's not sketchy! It's just foreshadowing!
Hah, bet you guys didn't think much of Jay's ramblings! All two of you! But yes, Jay did 'slip up'...
The background in the first panel is completely tablet drawn.

Yay, a page! And yeah, I never payed too much attention to Jay...
It looks all nice, but the background of the Mom could still take a little work... Mom looks a little small and unimportant compared to Ant Wars. But please don' t misunderstand because I like the comic a lot! After all that happy mambo dance it should be believable. :)

so, he made his wish come true on his own. the tree didn't do 'nothing.
man, he could have been $5 richer AND have his wish.
...unless the tree was the one who convinced jay to go after the sword! that must be it.
